Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how TemplaKit (“TemplaKit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the TemplaKit website and services (the “Service”) available at templakit.com.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Who We Are

TemplaKit provides a self-serve software platform that helps businesses assess workplace-safety compliance readiness and assemble safety documentation. The data controller responsible for your information is:

TemplaKit
P.O. Box 1061, Quinlan, TX 75474
Email: support@templakit.com

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly. When you create an account or use the Service, we collect information such as your name, email address, company name, and the business, trade, task, and compliance information you enter to generate readiness scores and documents.

Payment information. We use Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”) as our merchant of record to process payments. When you make a purchase, your payment-card and billing details are collected and processed directly by Paddle, not by us. We receive limited transaction information from Paddle (such as your billing country, the products purchased, and confirmation of payment) but we do not store full payment-card numbers. Paddle’s handling of your data is governed by Paddle’s own privacy policy, available at paddle.com.

Information collected automatically. When you use the Service we may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and usage timestamps, through cookies and similar technologies.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including generating your readiness scores and documents;
  • Process transactions and provide the products you purchase;
  • Authenticate your account and secure the Service;
  • Respond to your support requests and communicate with you about your account;
  • Monitor and analyze usage to improve the Service;
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, and abuse;
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Users)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Service you purchase); your consent (where required, such as for certain cookies); our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service); and compliance with legal obligations.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

  • Service providers who perform functions on our behalf, including our payments processor (Paddle), our cloud hosting and database provider, and analytics providers, each only to the extent necessary to perform their services;
  • Legal and safety recipients, where required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of TemplaKit, our users, or others;
  • Business transfers, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data as described below.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, update, or delete your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@templakit.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

California residents: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell personal information.

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure the Service, and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the Service functions.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International Transfers

We are based in the United States and process data there. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date, and where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
