ISNetworld vs Avetta vs Veriforce: what's actually different?

Same four categories, different scoring — and one body of work that satisfies all three.

Short answer

How do ISNetworld, Avetta, and Veriforce differ?

All three prequalification portals evaluate the same four categories — written safety programs, injury and illness statistics, insurance, and training records — but score them differently. ISNetworld is strictest on written program content through its element-scored RAVS review, Avetta on generic documents and insurance endorsements, and Veriforce on worker-level training verification. Because the written programs are the shared foundation, building them once to the strictest standard generally satisfies all three.

What overlaps — and what that means for you

The written programs are the overlap. All three portals want a document per hazard category your scope touches, containing named responsibilities, your actual procedures, training, and recordkeeping. A program built to satisfy ISNetworld's RAVS element checklist will generally cover the other two, because RAVS is the most explicitly element-scored of the three.

What does not transfer is the account-level configuration: each hiring client sets its own thresholds, required categories, and insurance endorsements. Build the document set once, then treat each client's questionnaire as a mapping exercise rather than a rewrite.

Where each one is strictest

ISNetworld is strictest on program content. Avetta is strictest on the combination of generic documents and insurance endorsements — see Avetta's compliance requirements. Veriforce leans hardest on worker-level evidence, so training records and individual verification matter more there than in the other two.

Common questions

Do I need accounts in all three portals?
Only the ones your hiring clients use. Each client dictates the portal, and many contractors end up maintaining two.
Which portal is strictest?
It depends on your weak spot: ISNetworld if your programs are generic, Veriforce if your training records are incomplete, Avetta if your insurance endorsements do not match the client's requirements.
